Toothpick Bridge

What can you do with 700 toothpicks and some wood glue?

How about make a bridge?

This was my husbands final project for his summer class and didn't it turn out great?

He had a little fun with it using the kids toys..

But all fun must end and all the hard work was only appreciated for a few seconds before the bridge was CRUSHED (on purpose of course)!

Buttercup Bag and Other Volunteer Gifts

This post is a little old, but during volunteer appreciation week at school I made a purse and tissue covers.

I made a Buttercup Bag!

The inside has a small pocket.

And four travel tissue covers with alternating colors on the outside and inside.

I love the big sash which comes off and can be worn!

My husband had these old shirts laying around so I cut those up for the fabric (I didn't even have to buy any :)

And I am so happy with the results.
