Busy Weeks

These past few weeks have been so busy, I haven't had a chance to sew or blog! Of course I have many ideas just no time to do them. I hope to post projects soon but for now I will post an old project. For Christmas I made felt food for the girls as well as gifts. I wrapped up felt food with little girl aprons and resturant order forms. They were big hits! Here are a few of the meals I made...

Shrimp Stir Fry

Hamburger and French Fries

Breakfast Plate with Pancakes, Eggs, and Bacon

Sushi

Chicken Leg, Green Beans, and Mashed Potatoes and Gravy

Cookie Assortment and Tea

Sweets - S'Mores, Doughnuts, and Cinnamon Rolls

Sandwich - Ham, Tomatoes, Lettuce, and Cheese

Busy Day!

It's been a busy day! A few things are marked off my list...outfits and surgical scrub hat (for a friend) and personalized bathroom cups for the kids. A friend of mine asked me to make some cute surgical scrub hats for her to wear in the OR. I tried to find a pattern, but had no luck so I cut one apart and used it. It worked!

I was not about to model it, but it looks cute on!

I also personalized small plastic cups for each of the children to keep their toothbrush in and to use to rinse their mouths. I used the Cricut and cut out vinyl letters. Now they won't confuse their cups.

Don't forget to become a follower. I would love to know who visits the blog and what you think!

Valentine's Day Outfits!

When I was at Hobby Lobby last weekend I came across this adorable fabric that was already finished across the top. I envisioned matching dresses for the girls and bought it! Well, they all four now have coordinating dresses, skirt, and bowtie to wear to church tomorrow for Valentine's Day!

Olympics

The winter Olympics begin tonight and we are ready! The kids and I made Olympic sugar cookies. They colored the sugar for each cookie using food coloring.

We laid out the sugar to dry.

Then we decorated them using the official Olympic ring pattern.

We will enjoy them tonight during the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympic games!

Weekend Plans!

I haven't had time to sew in weeks, but this weekend is CRAFT weekend as long as I get my lesson plans done tonight. Cross your fingers! Hobby Lobby is having a sale and rain is in the forecast...perfect conditions for sewing. There are many craft projects on my to do list but I hope to accomplish rice heat therapy bags and bible covers for mother/daughter in time for church on Sunday. Hopefully I will have pictures up soon of the projects!

Focus on the Family Love Letters to Your Spouse

I just entered the Focus on the Family Valentine's Day contest. You submit a love letter to your spouse and see if your letter is chosen as a daily winner. God has blessed me with such a wonderful husband and I want others to see what a special person he is! Go to their website and submit a letter and see if you win the Grand Prize! If not for the prize, just to write a letter to your spouse to show them what they mean to you.

Homemade Christmas

For those of you that know me, I love my sewing machine. Until I started working again, I would sew until 1 am! I just started sewing this past October and I can't do it enough. I decided that Christmas 09 would be a homemade Christmas. Every man, woman, and child on my list would get a homemade gift made with the sewing machine. When I shared my plan with family, they reminded me that not all people enjoy receiving homemade gifts. That didn't stop me, I wanted to make each person a gift that I thought they would enjoy. So I began, in Ocotber, and finished 2 days before Christmas!!!! But I finished! So here is one of the gifts I gave - crayon holders with a coloring book. I will post more later.
